With a combined student membership of over 2,000 students, PennPMA stands as the premier pre-medical and pre-professional student organization at Penn.

It was a joint venture created by combining the John Morgan Pre-Health Society (JMPHS) and Penn’s chapter of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) — two former student-run pre-professional groups at Penn.  Because of similar events, missions, and student bodies, these two organizations merged equally at the end of the 2008-2009 academic year.

PennPMA is a pre-health organization designed to tailor to the needs of the pre-med undergraduate population at Penn. We host physician speakers, bring in panels of medical students, hold information sessions, offer physician shadowing, and showcase volunteering opportunities throughout the academic year to our members.
